visitors from UK

Two months ago, we had two visitors from UK. They were not farmers but two British youths who came to stay at our president’s house for Boy scouts program. During the stay, they visited BYM farm. I took them to a brief tour of our farm and show them compost site, vegetable field, tea field, green house of tomato and strawberry, fruit gardens of apples and figs as we do for usual farm visit of farmers.

I told them about the difference of smell of compost at each stage of composting and the soil building effects of our compost as easily as possible to understand, but it was hard to tell them about these complicated matters in English. Also they had chance to see real tea field which they don’t have any chance back home in UK, despite their everyday tea drinking. I hope that they recall what they saw in our farm when they have some tea after they went home and get interested in agriculture.
