Visitors from China

On December 4, we had visitors of 12 people from China to our BYM farm. This time they are people of fertilizer manufacturing companies. They asked many enthusiastic questions about our microbial method during the lecture. In China today, people are now being interested in environmental issues and many Chinese are working on water and food issues. Through this visit, I understood how much they are interested in organic agriculture and agro-chemical problems. We would be happy if we could be of service to them with our agricultural method and products. This visit gave us chance to learn much.

The 20th training session in South Korea

From October 16th to 18th, there was training session of Shimamoto microbial method in South Korea. Three of our company including our president Shimamoto joined the session. It was held at a city called Daegu, which is located at two hours north of Busan airport by driving highway.

The hotel where the training session was held was located at high altitude and it was cold there and we could see colored leaves which were not able to be seen back in Shiga, Japan at that time. It made us feel the arrival of autumn.

AGRITECH EXPO 2013

DSC08310-thumbnail2.jpg

On October 9th , we joined AGRITECH EXPO at Makuhari in Chiba. There were more participating companies compared to last year. There were many kinds of materials for agricultural use and it would have taken whole day to visit all the booths. When we joined last year, there seemed to be many booths which display cutting-edge technology using LED light, but this time agri-technology using IT such as green house management system with IT and production management system with GPS and they were getting a lot of attention. There were lots of things to learn even for us from the integration between these cutting-edge technologies and agriculture.

At our booth, we put our products such as foliar spray materials and fermentation materials on exhibition. We also showed visual images of our practice of microbial method. We had comments from the visitors to our booths like “I have been using your products for long time”, or “it’s sure that the base of crop cultivation is soil building”. On the other hand there were some comments like “I haven’t heard of Shimamoto microbial method before” “agriculture using microbes sounds interesting”, and it made us feel we need to do more PR activity to have our microbial method known to many people. So the expo this time was a good opportunity for us to have our microbial method known. Finally we’d like to thank everyone who visited our booth.
